100%, I want you guys to use AI to repurpose your content, especially when you write your blog post and repurpose it out.
00:00:07 [Melissa]
But the biggest thing is I want you to use AI to save you time, but not replace you entirely.
00:00:14 [Alison]
Yeah.
00:00:14 [Alison]
There’s no replacement for human understanding, connection, and voice.
00:00:19 [Alison]
Hey, I’m Allison, Milton, family photographer.
00:00:22 [Melissa]
Hey, I’m Melissa, also a military spouse, lifestyle newborn photographer, and SEO expert for photographers.
00:00:28 [Melissa]
Between the two of us, we have a combined twenty seven years in photography and have lived through nine business relocations.
00:00:32 [Alison]
We’ve coached each other through all these challenges, and now we want to share our experience with you.
00:00:37 [Alison]
On this podcast, we’ll give you actionable steps to help you keep it moving.
00:00:43 [Alison]
Hey, guys.
00:00:43 [Alison]
Welcome back.
00:00:44 [Alison]
Today, we are talking all about AI generated content and blogging for 2025.
00:00:50 [Alison]
So AI generated content is ever, it’s flooding the Internet.
00:00:53 [Alison]
So how are we setting ourselves apart for our blog post to stand out to both Google and our clients?
00:00:59 [Alison]
This is something both Melissa and I both use.
00:01:02 [Alison]
We both use AI.
00:01:03 [Alison]
We both blog.
00:01:04 [Alison]
We both are using that in different parts of our business, and so we have a lot of personal experience with this.
00:01:08 [Alison]
We’ve been doing it for I don’t even know how long.
00:01:10 [Alison]
It’s a long time, I feel like.
00:01:12 [Alison]
But we are just doing it today.
00:01:14 [Alison]
So well, so I was just using this today.
00:01:15 [Alison]
I use it, like, every week, and I do pay for it because it’s that useful to me.
00:01:20 [Alison]
Yeah.
00:01:20 [Melissa]
I mean, I’ve used it, like, multiple times today because AI to me, it’s not good, and we should be using it to make, like, our lives easier.
00:01:26 [Melissa]
I mean, like, today Yeah.
00:01:28 [Melissa]
I had it scanned, like, some of Alice and I’s previous episodes that are out to our editor to say, hey.
00:01:33 [Melissa]
Like, give me some pull quotes because I don’t wanna go and sit back and listen through thirty minutes of our podcast episode to figure out what might be a good pull quote.
00:01:40 [Melissa]
And it spits it out before it’s edited.
00:01:41 [Melissa]
Audio.
00:01:42 [Melissa]
It spits it out in, like, ten seconds if that.
00:01:45 [Melissa]
And I’m like, okay.
00:01:46 [Melissa]
Now I just go and choose.
00:01:46 [Melissa]
And what’s funny is sometimes I don’t know which one of us said the thing, so I’m just grabbing something.
00:01:50 [Melissa]
I’m like, okay.
00:01:51 [Melissa]
Now we’re it’s not being preference, you know.
00:01:53 [Melissa]
But I also have used it to help or I had brainstorm some questions for me for a podcast guest we just interviewed.
00:01:59 [Melissa]
Titles for these shows?
00:02:00 [Melissa]
Yeah.
00:02:01 [Melissa]
This title from the show came from AI.
00:02:03 [Melissa]
Like, I told it what the show was about, what I wanted to talk about.
00:02:07 [Melissa]
And I think that’s the biggest thing is you’ve gotta treat AI like a real live assistant.
00:02:11 [Melissa]
Like, give it a name and pretend like she’s sitting at the desk right next to you, and you were gonna tell her this is the project or for us today was this is the podcast episode.
00:02:21 [Melissa]
This is what I wanna talk about.
00:02:23 [Melissa]
This is the tone of everything.
00:02:25 [Melissa]
These are some points I wanna cover.
00:02:26 [Melissa]
Create an outline for me.
00:02:28 [Alison]
This reminds me I don’t know if you saw the meme of, like, me and my work bestie, like, Jamen, and it’s him and a robot.
00:02:35 [Alison]
It’s like the Tesla robot, like, me and it’s AI.
00:02:37 [Alison]
Like, this is work bestie.
00:02:39 [Alison]
It’s like, oh, no.
00:02:40 [Alison]
Him and his best employee or something like that.
00:02:41 [Alison]
There you go.
00:02:42 [Alison]
Or, like, jiving, and it’s him and the Tesla robot.
00:02:45 [Alison]
Like
00:02:45 [Melissa]
Yeah.
00:02:46 [Melissa]
And I mean, a 100%, I want you guys to use AI to repurpose your content, especially when you write your blog post and repurpose it out.
00:02:54 [Melissa]
But the biggest thing is I want you to use AI to save you time, but not replace you entirely.
00:03:00 [Alison]
Yeah.
00:03:01 [Alison]
There’s no replacement for human understanding, connection, and voice.
00:03:06 [Alison]
Yes.
00:03:07 [Alison]
Personally.
00:03:09 [Alison]
Oh, yes.
00:03:09 [Alison]
You, the one stuck in that business quicksand, it’s Allison here.
00:03:13 [Alison]

00:03:50 [Alison]

00:04:00 [Melissa]
And honestly, even right now, the biggest problem I have with AI and blogging, and in some respects, it’s not just AI and blogging, it’s outsourcing and blogging, whether you outsource to a company or a person or, you know, a blog writer or is that you’re not producing memorable content.
00:04:16 [Melissa]
Like, it’s just kind of falling flat.
00:04:18 [Melissa]
I’m seeing a lot of clients who have outsourced their blog posts, and they’ve got great information in there, like the blog posts are thorough, they cover the topic, and they present the information the client’s looking for.
00:04:28 [Melissa]
But they’re not memorable.
00:04:30 [Melissa]
There’s no stories anymore.
00:04:32 [Melissa]
There’s no personal stories.
00:04:34 [Melissa]
And you know, like
00:04:35 [Alison]
I hate stories.
00:04:36 [Alison]
I’m not a storyteller.
00:04:37 [Melissa]
And here’s the thing.
00:04:38 [Melissa]
Because I get it anyway.
00:04:39 [Melissa]
If you if you’re not a storyteller, you’re like, well, I don’t really have a story.
00:04:42 [Melissa]
That’s fine.
00:04:43 [Melissa]
Still have so you’re gonna have to break it down.
00:04:45 [Melissa]
Either if you’re not a storyteller, then you’ve gotta have some pizzazzes and personality to your writing.
00:04:49 [Melissa]
And so like Allison was saying before, she hates what to wear posts or what to wear, figuring out what to wear.
00:04:56 [Alison]
What to wear.
00:04:57 [Alison]
Like, the information’s gotta be useful.
00:04:58 [Alison]
Right?
00:04:58 [Alison]
So if you’re writing a what to wear post, like, I own the fact that I hate it.
00:05:02 [Alison]
You can go to my website right now, alicebaphotographer.com.
00:05:04 [Alison]
Very bottom, it’s gonna say, what to wear is the worst all caps because I truly believe that.
00:05:09 [Alison]
That is personable.
00:05:10 [Alison]
That is memorable.
00:05:11 [Alison]
Yeah.
00:05:11 [Alison]
I think that’s That’s solidarity commensurate with you, but it does matter.
00:05:15 [Alison]
I don’t have to talk about it.
00:05:16 [Melissa]
And that’s exactly my point y’all is that too many times we’re putting out content.
00:05:21 [Melissa]
And here’s the deal, we’re all competing on content now.
00:05:23 [Melissa]
You know, a lot of the blog posts and stuff that I recommend you write are ones that other people are writing.
00:05:29 [Melissa]
Obviously, people who are listening to this podcast are writing them.
00:05:31 [Melissa]
But I mean, heck, you wanna write about stuff in your city, you’re competing with realtors, you’re competing with, you know, all kinds of other moving companies.
00:05:38 [Melissa]
Like, the craziest people are writing blog posts about your city.
00:05:41 [Melissa]
And if they all feel the same and they all spit out the same information and there’s nothing memorable about it, there’s net They’re all using
00:05:47 [Alison]
AI saying the same thing.
00:05:49 [Melissa]
Yeah.
00:05:49 [Melissa]
If there’s nothing that’s like telling a story, like, you could talk about, you know, places to take your kids.
00:05:54 [Melissa]
We’ve talked about this post a lot.
00:05:55 [Melissa]
It’s places to take your kids to a restaurant wherever in your city.
00:05:59 [Melissa]
If you really dive in and you talk about why it’s kid friendly, oh, because what is it?
00:06:04 [Melissa]
It’s the crab place that has, like, a playground.
00:06:07 [Melissa]
I can’t remember the name of it, but there’s one in, Fredericksburg that we used to go to.
00:06:10 [Melissa]
And I remember the first time Dave and I went, we were like, why don’t we go here more often?
00:06:14 [Melissa]
It has a playground in the middle of the restaurant.
00:06:16 [Melissa]
I mean, it’s the outdoor section.
00:06:18 [Melissa]
You can just sit at your table and order a drink and your kids playing on the playground.
00:06:22 [Melissa]
I mean, how Oh, amazing.
00:06:23 [Melissa]
100%.
00:06:23 [Alison]
All the so same thing with my Virginia Beach kid friendly restaurants.
00:06:26 [Alison]
It’s still going crazy three years later.
00:06:29 [Alison]
It’s because it came from a real person with real kids and, like, real experience.
00:06:33 [Alison]
Like, I Googled that so many times.
00:06:36 [Alison]
It’s very like, so many variations of that same inquiry when we first moved to Virginia Beach.
00:06:40 [Alison]
And then I found this place magical, magical pizza place with sports everywhere and an arcade.
00:06:47 [Alison]
Yes.
00:06:48 [Alison]
And Google couldn’t tell me that.
00:06:49 [Alison]
And, I mean, the first five restaurants on that list did not show up in any of my inquiries.
00:06:55 [Alison]
It came from actual real life people telling me and me finding places that I ought to go.
00:06:59 [Alison]
Yeah.
00:06:59 [Alison]
And so that’s how I came up with the
00:07:01 [Melissa]
You do have stories.
00:07:02 [Melissa]
You do.
00:07:03 [Alison]
Here’s the story.
00:07:04 [Alison]
But that’s how I came up with the tagline, like, find get the information Google won’t tell you.
00:07:09 [Melissa]
Yeah.
00:07:09 [Melissa]
Exactly.
00:07:09 [Alison]
Because Google doesn’t know or or, like, same thing with my Hawaii information.
00:07:13 [Alison]
Like, I’m doing all the same stuff and looking for all the same things, but it’s, like, from a mom, not from Google.
00:07:18 [Alison]
Right?
00:07:19 [Melissa]
Yeah.
00:07:19 [Melissa]
So that I mean, that’s the biggest thing.
00:07:21 [Melissa]
Gotta figure out when it comes to your blogging and stuff is how can you inject some personality or a personal story.
00:07:28 [Melissa]
Just the other day, I was reading of, an email from SEO Optimer.
00:07:31 [Melissa]
They’re an SEO company, and they interviewed a bunch of experts in SEO for how is SEO gonna change in 2025.
00:07:37 [Melissa]
And this particular one caught my attention, and they were talking about, you know, we’re having more and more AI content that’s AI generated, and Google is going well, is not going to.
00:07:47 [Melissa]
May.
00:07:48 [Melissa]
We be clear about this.
00:07:49 [Melissa]
Nobody knows
00:07:49 [Alison]
what Google’s gonna do.
00:07:51 [Melissa]
But I can definitely understand this.
00:07:52 [Melissa]
Yeah.
00:07:53 [Melissa]
Because Google has the EAT.
00:07:54 [Melissa]
It’s the experience, expertise, authority, and trust that they that’s their checklist that they run your content through.
00:08:00 [Melissa]
So what they’re saying is Google may start prioritizing content that with human signals and expertise, which is exact like, a blog post that has personality is go and has personal stories is going to come across as being human written versus Yep.
00:08:16 [Melissa]
Just flat covering the facts.
00:08:18 [Melissa]
And so their guess is that success in SEO will come from blending AI with authentic human driven content, freeing valuable personal stories and expert opinions.
00:08:26 [Melissa]
And I a 100% agree that.
00:08:28 [Melissa]
Yep.
00:08:29 [Melissa]
Yeah.
00:08:29 [Melissa]
It’s
00:08:29 [Alison]
what we’re already doing.
00:08:31 [Melissa]
Right.
00:08:31 [Melissa]
Because I’m already seeing where I see somebody’s got a blog post, and it covers the topic, and it’s boring as heck.
00:08:38 [Melissa]
And there’s nothing personal in it of the photographer’s experience.
00:08:43 [Melissa]
Even just the photographer’s experience, not necessarily a personal personal story or whatever.
00:08:48 [Melissa]
You know, in the blogging club, we just did a post on it was tips for better holiday family photos kind of thing.
00:08:53 [Melissa]
And in there, when I talked about outfits, I actually, like, told a story about how my mom was, like, obsessed with finding the perfect red velvet dresses for us that matched at Christmas time.
00:09:03 [Melissa]
Like, that was her thing.
00:09:04 [Melissa]
And you know what’s funny?
00:09:05 [Melissa]
At Thanksgiving this year, I was like, oh, by the way, I still have the dress from when you were, like, five years old.
00:09:10 [Melissa]
I meant to bring it because I want a picture of Grace in it.
00:09:12 [Melissa]
And I was like, I just told that story
00:09:14 [Alison]
on the blog.
00:09:15 [Alison]
Like, That’s crazy.
00:09:16 [Melissa]
That’s the thing.
00:09:17 [Melissa]
It’s like telling that story is going to catch someone’s attention, and it’s gonna stand out more than coordinate your outfits.
00:09:24 [Melissa]
Don’t wear matching clothes.
00:09:25 [Melissa]
You know, if I’m telling a story about something that happened to me as a kid or something that we did as a family, that’s gonna catch people’s attention.
00:09:32 [Melissa]
And so even if you guys are using a blog writer, which I’m not saying I’m a I know this is sounding like I’m I’m crapping on everybody else, but no.
00:09:39 [Melissa]
Even if you’re using a blog writer, and I’ve used them too before, especially when I moved to a new area and I didn’t necessarily know a lot about the area, I had a blog writer write some blog posts for me.
00:09:47 [Melissa]
And then before I publish them, I will go and I will sit down.
00:09:50 [Melissa]
Like, I would order ones that had about 500 words and I would add another 500 of my own.
00:09:55 [Melissa]
And so that way, now I have all the information, but now I’m going through and I’m interjecting my personality.
00:10:01 [Melissa]
I’m maybe rewriting a few sentences to sound like me.
00:10:04 [Melissa]
So if you’re just copying and pasting from your blog writer or from AI, like, I encourage to do a little bit more.
00:10:11 [Melissa]
And, like, you can go back to those posts now because, again, you are doing the exact same post as everybody else.
00:10:18 [Melissa]
So you’ve got to make yours sound better.
00:10:20 [Melissa]
You’ve got to make yours more interesting and more memorable because you’re presenting the same information.
00:10:25 [Melissa]
You know, if you can do it in a funny way or a personality driven way, you know, a way of like, I hate figuring out what to wear for photos.
00:10:31 [Melissa]
Like, that’s gonna get
00:10:32 [Alison]
someone’s attention.
00:10:33 [Alison]
It is.
00:10:34 [Alison]
Well, and like, you know, I I say that but, like, I really do think when it comes to writing content.
00:10:39 [Alison]
One, I own the fact that I’m not good with like, I’m a visual person through and through.
00:10:43 [Alison]
But chat g p t, like, once it’s once I’ve got a few things going and I can tell it to read my website or read this blog that I did do pretty well, like, it’s a better writer of personality once I tell it what to do than I am.
00:10:57 [Alison]
Yeah.
00:10:58 [Alison]
It can’t inject more personality than just because I know I’m not that great at it.
00:11:01 [Alison]
I don’t wanna take the time.
00:11:04 [Melissa]
Hey there, photographers.
00:11:05 [Melissa]
Struggling with what to blog about?
00:11:07 [Melissa]
Tired of staring at that blinky cursor waiting for inspiration to strike?
00:11:10 [Melissa]
Yeah.
00:11:11 [Melissa]
We’ve all been there.
00:11:12 [Melissa]
That created the blogging club.

00:11:48 [Melissa]
So that’s where you’ve gotta look at though.
00:11:50 [Melissa]
Look at the other posts that you’re competing with.
00:11:51 [Melissa]
If you start noticing that your content maybe isn’t getting a lot of clicks or it’s just, you know, you’re not getting repeat visits and stuff like that, you may find that it needs a little bit more.
00:12:02 [Melissa]
It’s all gonna depend.
00:12:03 [Melissa]
Like, I would judge it based off of if I had, let’s say I had a freebie pop up on that page or some kind of, like, way.
00:12:09 [Melissa]
If I’m finding that not a lot of people are signing up for it, a, that freebie could be boring.
00:12:13 [Melissa]
Yeah.
00:12:14 [Melissa]
But, b, it could be, yeah, I provide the information, but I’m not coming up enough that they’re like, yeah, I really wanna be on her email list.
00:12:20 [Melissa]
Like, this is great info.
00:12:22 [Melissa]
You know, I look at too with my email newsletter type stuff when I send out my things on Fridays.
00:12:27 [Melissa]
I’ve gotten emails back from people that are like, oh my gosh.
00:12:29 [Melissa]
I look forward to your emails every Friday.
00:12:31 [Melissa]
Like, that’s what I want.
00:12:32 [Melissa]
Like, if I That’s
00:12:32 [Alison]
a process.
00:12:33 [Melissa]
If I just build chat g b t to write it and copied and pasted it, I would not be getting emails back from people that find it memorable.
00:12:40 [Melissa]
Yeah.
00:12:40 [Melissa]
100%.
00:12:41 [Melissa]
You know, it’s it’s not that AI can’t help you.
00:12:44 [Melissa]
It absolutely can.
00:12:45 [Melissa]
Allison and I were just talking heard Shannon McKinstry.
00:12:48 [Melissa]
She’s a Instagram expert.
00:12:50 [Alison]
Yep.
00:12:50 [Alison]
Instagram guru.
00:12:51 [Alison]
Yes.
00:12:52 [Melissa]
She just had on her podcast, she had mentioned she was talking honestly the same thing, but for Instagram.
00:12:57 [Melissa]
She was really pushing on that of, like, not using AI for Instagram.
00:13:01 [Melissa]
And I agree with her to a point.
00:13:02 [Melissa]
I do think and this quick tangent.
00:13:04 [Melissa]
I do think that you can use AI to take that blog post that you’re making personalized and have it rewritten into captions for Instagram because you’re using your words already.
00:13:13 [Melissa]
So it’s not creating its own thing, and that was her big thing, her harp.
00:13:16 [Melissa]
She was like, if you go and ask AI to create, it’s not original, you know, it you know, versus if you’re taking your original words and just asking it to rephrase it for a post, then that that works out better.
00:13:28 [Melissa]
That makes it original.
00:13:29 [Melissa]
But her point was to prompt AI to get some story ideas from you.
00:13:36 [Melissa]
So it was really interesting.
00:13:37 [Alison]
That’s a cool yeah.
00:13:38 [Alison]
That’s a cool twist.
00:13:39 [Melissa]
It it was one where she was like, hey, this is what I’m gonna do the the Instagram post about.
00:13:44 [Melissa]
Can you give me 10 ideas of stories that could go along with this?
00:13:48 [Melissa]
And then when she looked at those stories, she was like, oh, I have a personal story that goes with this.
00:13:53 [Melissa]
I think if I’m remembering the episode.
00:13:55 [Alison]
Yeah.
00:13:55 [Alison]
She’s really good at storytelling.
00:13:56 [Alison]
I’ve been following her content since we moved to Quantico when she was still living in North Northern Virginia.
00:14:01 [Alison]
And what I love about her is that she’s got the same message this whole time, right, all these years.
00:14:05 [Alison]
But I find her memorable because she’s so good at connecting storytelling, like stupid little stories with her point.
00:14:12 [Alison]
And I’ve noticed that.
00:14:13 [Alison]
I noticed that years and years ago in her emails, and it’s never changed.
00:14:17 [Alison]
Like, she’s always been really good at that.
00:14:18 [Melissa]
Jen Olmstead’s another great one from Tonic, shop site websites.
00:14:23 [Melissa]
You guys should get on her email list.
00:14:24 [Melissa]
It’s on Fridays, and they’re always just hilarious.
00:14:26 [Melissa]
Like, I’ll tell the stories to my husband because they’re, like, laugh out loud tonight is her stuff.
00:14:30 [Melissa]
You know?
00:14:31 [Melissa]
And I’ve learned from her in some of my emails and stuff to, like, really pull more stories out.
00:14:36 [Melissa]
And I get it.
00:14:37 [Melissa]
I like writing.
00:14:38 [Melissa]
I’ve always loved writing.
00:14:39 [Melissa]
Oh.
00:14:39 [Melissa]
Some people don’t like it.
00:14:41 [Melissa]
Not me.
00:14:42 [Melissa]
And I I get it.
00:14:43 [Melissa]
And, unfortunately, it’s one of those areas.
00:14:45 [Melissa]
So I like writing, so it comes easy to me.
00:14:48 [Melissa]
But you know what doesn’t come easy to me is, like, actually, like, getting creative behind the camera, like, in photography.
00:14:55 [Melissa]
I’m really a boring photographer.
00:14:57 [Melissa]
I feel like I’m super boring, so I have to try a lot harder at being more creative photography business Wow.
00:15:05 [Melissa]
In you know, behind the camera than I do with writing.
00:15:07 [Melissa]
And so I kinda would encourage everyone if you’re like, I’m not a writer.
00:15:10 [Melissa]
I don’t have stories.
00:15:12 [Melissa]
You may just have to dig a little deeper.
00:15:13 [Melissa]
Like, I’m not gonna lie.
00:15:14 [Melissa]
Like I agree.
00:15:15 [Melissa]
Just like I gotta dig deeper to be more creative for my collection.
00:15:17 [Alison]
It is it for me, it takes like, because I I am that person, and it it requires just slowing down.
00:15:24 [Alison]
Yeah.
00:15:25 [Alison]
Just a smidge more effort.
00:15:27 [Alison]
It’s not the instant gratification.
00:15:29 [Alison]
It takes revision.
00:15:30 [Alison]
It takes time.
00:15:31 [Melissa]
Yeah.
00:15:32 [Melissa]
And even with a blog post, you can walk away.
00:15:34 [Melissa]
Yeah.
00:15:34 [Melissa]
I was on, I think, October, and it was one for the blogging club for November, and I was really struggling.
00:15:39 [Melissa]
And I was like, I just cannot come up with the right concept for this.
00:15:42 [Melissa]
I can’t come up with the right writing.
00:15:43 [Melissa]
And so I decided, you know what?
00:15:44 [Melissa]
I’m gonna walk away from this for a while.
00:15:46 [Melissa]
I was like, I’m gonna put it off, and then I picked another topic, and bam.
00:15:49 [Melissa]
You know, it just flowed out at that point.
00:15:51 [Melissa]
And I was like, okay.
00:15:52 [Melissa]
I just was not ready for that.
00:15:54 [Melissa]
So same thing with your blogging and stuff.
00:15:55 [Melissa]
If you are really struggling with a topic, like, maybe maybe pick a different one for right now.
00:16:00 [Melissa]
Like, you have
00:16:00 [Alison]
to create a juice flow.
00:16:01 [Alison]
Go back in, like and maybe not even start from the very beginning.
00:16:05 [Alison]
Mhmm.
00:16:05 [Alison]
Go back to an underperforming or a blog post and just beef it up.
00:16:07 [Alison]
Do it.
00:16:08 [Alison]
Yeah.
00:16:08 [Alison]
Like, make it better.
00:16:09 [Alison]
Test take a test drive with with some AI.
00:16:11 [Alison]
Figure out how you can teach it to inject or help you to inject story and personality into it.
00:16:17 [Alison]
And just start there.
00:16:18 [Melissa]
Yeah.
00:16:18 [Melissa]
Because I bet you could you could probably copy and paste the blog post you’ve already written, post in AI and say, hey, I wanna interject a personal story.
00:16:26 [Melissa]
What are some ideas of personal stories that and and it’s gonna give you some, like, random stuff, obviously, because it’s basically you’re asking it to create some story ideas.
00:16:34 [Melissa]
But the whole point is that is to kinda stimulate your brain to kinda dig back in and be like, oh, I do have a story to tell for this.
00:16:42 [Melissa]
And if you happen to, like, think of a story just randomly off topic for something, like, write it down and then, like, come back to it with a blog post.
00:16:48 [Melissa]
I’m like, oh, this will make a great story for the blog.
00:16:51 [Melissa]
But really start getting into, you know, connecting with your clients more in your blog post, interjecting personality.
00:16:57 [Melissa]
Because the the big thing is we’ve gotta show Google this is human written and not AI generated.
00:17:03 [Melissa]
And Yeah.
00:17:04 [Melissa]
This was a big thing.
00:17:04 [Melissa]
And I thought about this today because how many freaking futuristic robots have taken over the world movies are out there right now.
00:17:12 [Melissa]
Right, y’all?
00:17:12 [Melissa]
Like, a ton.
00:17:13 [Alison]
Tell you.
00:17:13 [Melissa]
And what we find at the end is that while technology is cool, human connection is what the end of the movie is always about.
00:17:21 [Melissa]
Always.
00:17:22 [Melissa]
Time.
00:17:24 [Melissa]
Yes.
00:17:25 [Melissa]
So, like, we’ve gotta figure that out.
00:17:27 [Melissa]
We’ve had we’ve got the cool toy, and we’re playing with it, and everybody’s into it.
00:17:31 [Melissa]
And we’re we’re starting to branch off away from that human connection.
00:17:34 [Melissa]
So I’m telling you right now, we gotta bring it back.
00:17:37 [Melissa]
We gotta bring it back to that human connection.
00:17:39 [Alison]
And and that even starts into brand voice and avatar and personality and your niche.
00:17:44 [Alison]
Like, I like, Fast Fun Done is my whole thing.
00:17:48 [Alison]
So telling people and complaining and commiserating with toddlers about teenagers and how what to wear sucks is part of my brand.
00:17:56 [Alison]
Yeah.
00:17:56 [Alison]
Right?
00:17:56 [Alison]
It took me a long time to come up with that voice, like, to give myself the permission to not like it.
00:18:03 [Alison]
Yep.
00:18:03 [Alison]
To be a photographer and say, I actually hate this, and I think you do too.
00:18:07 [Alison]
Like Yeah.
00:18:08 [Alison]
It took a while.
00:18:09 [Melissa]
I opened my website with here’s my keyword pictures and then there’s a picture of me and there’s a little story.
00:18:14 [Melissa]
And instead of it saying of, hi, I’m Melissa.
00:18:16 [Melissa]
I’m a Charlottesville, New York photographer.
00:18:17 [Melissa]
I’m like, hey.
00:18:18 [Melissa]
No.
00:18:18 [Melissa]
I was just like you.
00:18:19 [Melissa]
I was looking for a photographer to take pictures of my baby, but I didn’t want him dressed in funny costumes and sleeping in weird poses.
00:18:25 [Melissa]
Like, immediately, I start off with a personal story that connects me with the client because honestly, if they’re on my site Mhmm.
00:18:31 [Melissa]
And they’ve gotten through that even the first couple images on the slideshow, they know that I’m not putting babies in buckets and costumes.
00:18:37 [Melissa]
Right.
00:18:37 [Melissa]
You know?
00:18:37 [Melissa]
And so that’s what they’re connecting with.
00:18:39 [Melissa]
And so, yeah, working that into your copy, working that into your website, we are definitely new.
00:18:44 [Melissa]
Our other, Marco Polo Polo bestie at one point of, like, she was trying to figure out how to make her brand a little bit more connecting to her clients, and she’s obsessed with Taylor Swift.
00:18:53 [Melissa]
And I was like, girl, you need to go at all in on that.
00:18:56 [Melissa]
Like Yep.
00:18:57 [Melissa]
And I think she did say she had done a few Instagram posts or something, and she had, like, dads reaching out to her of her clients who were like, oh my god.
00:19:04 [Melissa]
I love Taylor Swift too.
00:19:06 [Melissa]
Crazy.
00:19:06 [Melissa]
Wait.
00:19:07 [Melissa]
By the way, go check out her podcast, Creative Mom Creative Mom’s Focus.
00:19:10 [Melissa]

00:19:10 [Melissa]

00:19:11 [Alison]

00:19:12 [Alison]
It’s a plural moms.
00:19:13 [Alison]
Right?
00:19:13 [Alison]

00:19:13 [Melissa]
I think so.
00:19:14 [Melissa]
Creative Mom’s Focus show notes.
00:19:16 [Melissa]
But There you go.
00:19:16 [Melissa]
You know, that’s the thing, guys.
00:19:18 [Melissa]
We’ve gotta figure out that human connection again and harness AI the right way.
00:19:23 [Melissa]
Help it, you know, have it create outlines.
00:19:25 [Melissa]
Have it take what you’ve already written and do your one week of marketing.
00:19:28 [Melissa]
Have it turn it into blog or not blog post, but social media stuff, email newsletter stuff, all of that kind of things.
00:19:34 [Melissa]
And that, guys, is how you are going to blog better than a bot.
00:19:39 [Alison]
That’s it?
00:19:40 [Alison]
Okay.
00:19:40 [Alison]
So to recap all of that, there’s three points.
00:19:44 [Alison]
We want you AI will give you a head start.
00:19:46 [Alison]
We want but personal stories and expertise always went out.
00:19:50 [Alison]

00:19:51 [Alison]
